Abstract:
In ihc course of pavement construction work in Heraklcidon Street in Thcsion during July 1985, the excavation of a trench for a drainage conduit uncovered parts of the ancient enceinte of Athens at the corner of Herakleidon and Erysichthonos Street (in front of no. 54).A section of the 4th c. BC rampart was found, as well as a tower belonging to the Justinian enceinte,.remains of the ancientroad outside of and parallel to the wall, and a section of a drainage conduit. The 4th c.
