Abstract:
The article tries to contribute to the history of the Greek Press. By usingarticles on a particular event, i.e. the three military interventions in the postwarTurkey, it formulates some general observations concerning the methodologyfollowed by Greek newspapers foi the treatment of an event. Theduration of this “event” (the three military interventions in Turkey between1960-1980) offers itself to a comparative study. By comparing the attitudeof newspapers towards each intervention, the article monitors the evolutionof the Greek Press during two decades.
