Abstract:
This article is a short presentation of the era and the personality of DimitrieCantemir, prince of Moldavie (1710-1711). Dimitrie Cantcmir was thegreatest wiseman of Medieval Romania. He was important as far as historiography,theology and philosophy was concerned. The article stresses thepolitical activities of the prince in the context of the 18th cent, as well as hiscontribution in history, theology and philosophy. Wc believe that the articlewill reveal that prince D. Cantemir was not only a local personality but aninternational as well.
