Abstract:
The completion of the excavation on the Pehlivanidis plot revealed remains of buildings from the Archaic to the Roman period. A new area excavated in the N part of the plot revealed a system of Roman pipes, and, below this, part of the Hellenistic complex discovered in previous years. Finds of note in the S part of the plot include the remains of buildings of the Archaic period, when the city was founded by the Corinthians. A building of the Roman period was uncovered on the Grigoriou plot. The site seems to have been used as a workshop at some slightly earlier date, the most significant evidence of this being the discovery of a pottery kiln with around chamber and a central column to support the grate. The interior yielded herds of the Late Hellenistic period and fragments of the grate. A cist-grave, built with re-used building materials, was found at Akrotiri, Sof the Potidaia settlement. Another cist-grave was excavated at Yerani, the site of an Early Christian cemetery discovered previously
