Abstract:
In this paper I attempt to make an approach to the dramaturgy of Loula Anagnostaki based on Foucault’s concept of heterotopias and Nora’s realms of memory. The author’s aim is to prove that Loula Anagnostaki’s plays always move in the area of memory, of diversity or that of the otherness according to the historical or existential and often enigmatic ground where it is produced. The reference to the heterotopia always involves a memory as a latent stage, as a representative act in the present of a former content. In Anagnostaki’s dramaturgy, the ability of memory to produce unexpected combinations of dissimilar elements and their subsequent use to create an alternative conscience of the world is fully exploited.
