Vokerrios - Vokeria

The much debated Vokerrios of an epigram attributed to Antipatros of Thessaloniki, is related to a city Vo- keria written on a signpost ( stadio- deiktis ) of the Hellenistic period, found in 1893 at the 170,450 km of the Thessaloniki - Fiorina railway line. A gap in the edition of the E.S.F. Gow-D.L. Page, The Garland of Philip and some Contemporary Epigrams, I - II, Cambridge 1968, is thus being completed.
