A table support from the ancient agora of Thessaloniki

This article presents a marble Attic table support found in 1992 during the excavation of the east wing of the ancient agora of Thessaloniki. The sculpture depicts Dionysos supported by a Satyr, in a group whichis not very common in Attic table supports and sarcophagi. The table support is dated stratigraphically to the second half of the 3rd c. AD.162
