The redisplay of the Archaeological Collection of Elis was completed in August and September 1980 in one of the galleries and the atrium of the new storerooms at Elis. The objects exhibited come from both the systematic excavations of the Archaeological Society and the Austrian Archaeological Institute and rescue excavations carried out by the Vllth Ephorate of Antiquities at Olympia.In the atrium stone and clay architectural members, votive pedestals and funerary stelae have been placed. The main exhibit includes five cases housing small objects, i.e. vases, coins, jewellery, weapons, figurines and tools, representative of all areas of historical development at Elis. On the walls, between the showcases, marble statues, reliefs and clay architectural members have been placed.
