The article brings new evidence recently found during the rearrangement of the Municipal Archive by the Municipal Center of Historical research of the town of Volos. The new information has already been presented in a congress organized in this town in 1995. The new evidence commented by the author elucidate several points on the architecture of the municipal theatre of Volos destroyed in 1953 during an earthquake. This article is the continuation of the research of its author on the architecture of modern Greek theatres that she presented as a Ph.D thesis in the National Polytechnic School of Athens in 1989 under the title Architecture of modern Greek theatre 1720-1940 and published in 1994. In this work the construction and functioning of the theatres in Volos is treated in every detail. Nevertheless the new evidence permit to the author to study several changes in the form of the scene and other parts of the building and confirm other relevant information concerning the form of its auditorium, already mentioned in her initial research.
