The article is conceptualised as a preliminary study to the edition of these two short theatrical texts, edited in former times by Giorgos Valetas and recently by Lia Brad Chisacof, both in an unsufficient way. These texts are very interesting as documents of their time, for cultural and social history, linguistic analysis (Rumanian and Turkish vocabulary), history of mentalities (upper class), local history and identification of historical personalities, habits and customs, the influence of littérature sentimentale, etc. They are embedded in a whole tradition of satiric dialogical texts written by clerics and Phanariots, in this case probably by Rumanian bojars of the first order, in Greek mixed with Turkish and Rumanian idioms either in Constantinople or Bucharest, culminating in the last decades of the 18th and the first decades of the 19th century. The first text seems to be dated in 1818, the second in ca. 1800.
