Abstract:
The bibliography presented here is part of the project in progress Greek Theatrical Bibliography 1900-2005, run by the “Theatre Research and Documentation Workshop”, operating in the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens. The Workshop is financed by the E.U. programme “Pythagoras” and supervised by a three-member scientific committee (Prof. Walter Puchner, president- Associate Professor Chrysothemis Stamatopoulou-Vasilakou and Lect. Giorgos P. Pefanis, members). Members of the research group are the post graduate students (PhD) Helen D. Goulis, Ilia Lakidou, Irini Moundraki and Constantina Stamatoyannaki. The first outcome of this project was published in Paravasis 5,1994, pp. 295-361 (Σταμα- τοπούλου-Βασιλάκου, Χρυσόθεμις / Πούχνερ, Βάλτερ. Το νεοελληνικό θέατρο από το θάνατο του Γιάννη Σιδέρη έως σήμερα [1975-2003]: Βιβλιογραφία αυτοτελών μελετών και άρθρων. Πρώτη καταγραφή. [Stamatopoulou-Vasilakou, Chrysothemis / Puchner, Walter. Greek theatre as from Yiannis Sideris’ death till today [1975-2003]: Bibliography of self-inclusive editions and articles. First inventory]).The documentation aims to cover international bibliographical data on issues of Greek interest and publications on world theatre in Greek. Bibliographical entries have been divided into 35 chronological and thematic categories. In this issue, a first inventory of self-inclusive editions is being presented; it covers the following thematic categories: Scenography-Costume design (compiled by Ilia Lakidou), Direction-Directors-Companies-Actors (compiled by Helen D. Goulis and Irini Moundraki), Theatre Architecture-Theatre Buildings (compiled by Ilia Lakidou), Speech-Acting (compiled by Irini Moundraki). Within each thematic category, the entries have been further divided into three sub-categories (studies, essays and testimony) for reasons of uniformity and in order to obtain a clearer picture of the evolution of texts during the 20th century.
