The photographs published here show Linear A tablets and some examples of roundels and prismatic sealings, also inscribed with signs of the same script.KH 1001 a,These were found at Kastelli, in the town of Chania. The finds, which had formed part of a Minoan archive of theNeo-Palatial period, were contained in the destruction level of the known Minoan settlement ( see AAA VI ( 1973 ), p.430 ff. ). There were in all 80 pieces of tablets, designated by numbers 5-78 and 80- 87 ( numbers 1 - 4 and79 are tablets recovered from other excavations at Kastelli, Chania ), 108 roundels and 28 prismatic sealings.
