Το παρόν κείμενο παρουσιάστηκε σε προγενέστερη μορφή σε διάλεξη με τον ίδιο τίτλο που δόθηκε στις 15 Απριλίου 2008, στο πλαίσιο της σειράς διαλέξεων που οργάνωσε το Τμήμα Μ.Ι.Θ.Ε. με γενική θεματική «Το Πανεπιστήμιο Σήμερα». Ευχαριστεί όλους τους συμμετέχοντες στη συζήτηση για τα ιδιαίτερα χρήσιμα σχόλιά τους, αλλά κυρίως τον αείμνηστο Στέφανο Ματθία, πρώην Πρόεδρο του Αρείου Πάγου και τον Ιωάννη Καράκωστα, πρώην Αντιπρύτανη του ΕΚΠΑ και Καθηγητή της Νομικής Σχολής. Ο κ. Καράκωστας ήταν αυτός που του έδωσε την ευκαιρία να διδάσκει το μάθημα «Δίκαιο και Οικονομικά» στη Νομική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών από το 2004 μέχρι σήμερα. Τον ευχαριστεί ιδιαίτερα και γι’ αυτό. Το κείμενο αφιερώνεται στον Καθηγητή και Πρώην Πρύτανη του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνιόν, Πέτρο Γέμτο, τον άνθρωπο που έφερε την οικονομική ανάλυση του δικαίου (αλλά και αυτόν!) στην Ελλάδα.
