Abstract:
Investigating into the similarities between the poetry of Greek-Cypriot poet Kostas Montis and that of Italian Giorgio Caproni, the author indicates several common elements in both poets, who had never known each other, such as the references to classical poetry (Euripides, Dante...) in the titles of their poems, their metaphysical pessimism, their love for paradox in poetry and their focusing on language as a vehicle of genuine poetical expression.
