As a director of the Museum of Greek Popular Art in Athens, Popi Zora has been extremely active in promoting Greek folk culture, perserving its specimens, oranizing expositions all over the world and sensitizing political and administrative personnel, as well as the general public, to the benefits of a policy of supporting preservation and restoration of works related to traditional techniques and modes of expresssion. Her action toward this goal, as well as her wonderfully written books treating similar subjects, contributed to her being recognized as one of the most influential personalities in that particular domain.
