In this paper two modern Greek plays are analyzed: Pantelis Horn’s In the Fair (1926) and Dimitris Kechaidis’s The Fair (1964), on the basis of ethnologic material contained in them and the historical evolution of traditional life and customs. Though this analysis, the developments in the traditional environment are examined, as they are reflected in those two plays.
