The author explores the underlying incest theme in the theatrical play The Milk, by Vassilis Katsikonouris. This theme is put in context by referring to a series of narratives displaying cases of mother-son incest, from the classical Oedipus myth to a folk tale from Sudan, and by investigating into its profound meaning in the light of Freudian analysis.
