Abstract:
In this paper I attempt to make an approach to the stage based on Foucault’s concept of heterotopia. The aim is a. to prove that the reference to the heterotopia always involves the theatrical relation, so that the stage could be considered as the heterotopia par excellence, and b. to testify, conversely, that the heterotopia always reveal a latent stage, that transcends the oppositional relation between reality and illusion, where all the social spaces could be localised and transformed. In this point of view, heterotopia could be the stage of all other social places.
