Ivan Gadjanski is one of the greatest contemporary poets of Serbia. His poetical works,translated in many languages, express hope and anxiety, melancholy for the past and insight into the future. His more recent works, especially, are imaginary voyages in the deserted Balkan landscapes, where history and contemporary reality mingle into a multi-facetted poetical universe.
