The author publishes and comments the text of a work composed by the erudite monk Gerassimos Vlachos, who lived in Crete in the 17th century. This work, preserved in the Codex Sinaiticus 1148, is called «Skotodini» (Vertigo) and constitutes in fact a refutation of the theological views of Jesuit monk F. Richard as well as an apology for Eastern Orthodox theology.
