The press, especially newspapers rather often publish research articles of educational content, or pump arguments from educational research data.How do the educational researches appear in newspapers? Which thematic fields are the most interesting? How systematic, objective and reliable are these investigational approaches? How does a writer treate the data of an empirical research? To what extend does he/she follow basic ethics associated with the exploitation of such data?The present research is attempting to answer-at least, up to a certain point- the above mentioned questions.Articles of educational content from 18 newpapers were analysed with the content analysis method -15 criteria, in total- during two sequent years (1997-1998).Data elaboration was carried out with SPSS statistical program. Results description was based on the analysis criteria. The results of each article were also examined per year, season, and thematic field.
