Until the middle of the twentieth century, the parents of children with special needs did not involve with programs aiming to help the education of their children. But, the development of the systemic theory has helped to evaluate the dynamic of the relationships which are been developed within the limits of a family that includes a member with special needs. So nowadays the role of the parents as collaborators is been recognized and these people are regarded to be indispensable for the planning, development and valuation of programs concerning their children. In conclusion to all these, the systemic theory of interference has as target to help the family which has a member with special needs to function as normally as possible, satisfying its personal needs too.
