Abstract:
The aim of our study is to present the linkage of Literature and Visual Arts which was attempted in the Visual Arts textbook for 5th & 6th grade. We represent the ways that the two Arts are connected, the instructions of the Arts Curricula. We study how these ways and guidelines have developed in the textbook's units. We concluded that the textbook utilized all kinds of literature texts in order to raise student's preexisted experiences, create a pleasant psychological atmosphere, present visual concepts and assign to the students the production of oral / written utterances and visual art. Furthermore it uses literary techniques in unit's title and student's assignments.
