This paper aims at exploring the views of teachers who attend the Introductory Training Course regarding its potential of meeting their needs and of improving the effectiveness of their teaching. For the particular research scheme, the participants were the teachers who attended the Introductory Training Course at the 1st and 2nd Peripheral Educational Centre of Thessaloniki in the fall of 2005. The exploratory tool used was the questionnaire which showed that most educators, both before and after the Introductory Course, were left unsatisfied with their pedagogical, didactic and scientific knowledge.
