In this article there is a contrastive examination of Rousseau's and Montessori's pedagogical viewpoints. Also this contrastive analysis makes it clear that although Rousseau has dramatically affected the subsequent Pedagogical Theory and Practice, as it appears in his work "Émile", he was underestimated by his work's researchers and was ranked to the Traditional School. In addition Montessori who was undoubtedly greatly affected, leaves deliberately unsaid Rousseau's viewpoints, most of which are included in her work, and in many cases almost intact.
