This article presents a theoretical analysis of the term "innovation" and identifies the factors of a successful implementation. Additionally, it emphasizes the relationship between innovation and education, since, by applying innovation in an educational setting, the school environment adapts to social changes and needs. Finally, this article ascertains the role of school leadership in managing and applying innovative actions in an educational setting.
