Abstract:
The paper analyses the problem of the primary education in Serbia from the point of view of the interpretative paradigm, and based upon the comparative approach, taking into consideration its tendency towards the integrations and acceding with the EU countries. In that sense, the field of primary education, the same as the state itself, permeate through the processes of transition, modernization and reform. Since the primary education represents a base for development of every individual and a society in the whole, the author of the paper tends to objectively introspect the situation of the primary education system in Serbia, as well as the moments necessary for the process of creation of its reform: previously acquired experiences, experiences from other countries, needs of the individual and a community, as well as the national interests.
