Abstract:
In this article, the difference between language and music is exam med from the semantics' point of view. The difficulty of application of lingual models on structural study of music, originates from the impotence to determine an “objective” meaning for the musical piece. Thus the structural study of music is, definitely, bound to be a study of form- which does not deprive it from its importance.
