In this paper, the authors examine the preferences of tourists who are alreadyconsumers or could be the potential consumers of the tourist offering. Thepurpose of the paper is to provide answers to questions arising from this issue,taking into account socio-demographic attributes of tourists and association ofthose attributes and spending during vacation. The aim of research is to identifythe profile of tourists who have chosen Istria., Paper presents the hypothesis thatto increase tourist spending, it is necessary to develop a tourist profile anddesign a cultural, entertainment and sports offering that corresponds to thisprofile.
