Abstract:
The present paper aims at examining the parameters that should be taken into consideration for the development through teaching of the skill of Reading Comprehension at the advanced level. The advanced Ιevel in the case of Greek as a foreign language is defined as a combination of typical characteristics of any advanced level and of components that would be appropriate for a course of teaching language for academic purposes. What is proposed here is that the subskills developed and the tasks in use shοuld be directed towards both these considerations.
