Στο παρόν άρθρο εξετάζουμε τις παραμέτρους που καθορίζουν τη σταθερότητα και τις αλλαγές στις μεταρηματικές θέσεις του υποκειμένου, και ειδικά τη διατήρηση και την απώλεια της σειράς Ρήμα Υποκείμενο Αντικείμενο. Σε αντίθεση με την αστάθεια στη σειρά των όρων στην ιστορία της Αγγλικής, η σειρά των όρων στην Ελληνική χαρακτηρίζεται από σταθερότητα σε σχέση με τη δυνατότητα μεταρηματικού υποκειμένου. Αυτή η διαφορά είναι αποτέλεσμα της παρεμπόδισης (“blocking”) των συνεπειών των τάσεων στην Πληροφοριακή Δομή (“Information Structure Drift”), που οφείλεται στη σταθερότητα της δυνατότητας παράλειψης του υποκειμένου καθώς και στη σταθερότητα των χαρακτηριστικών του ονοματικού συστήματος.
