Investigation of flexible multi-mode harmonic vibration for the automatic washing process

Abstract:
This paper will discuss multi-mode vibration for the vibration motor in the washing process.Sinusoidal vibration modes for the speed servo command will be carefully designed for the flexible control.Different kinds of operating modes for the possible automatic process control are provided. Three basic andfive extended vibration modes for different operation are proposed. Simulation and experimental results will becompared to verify the formulation. This will make the washing process more flexible, in order to easilyconfigure the servo control. Differing from the conventional approach to regulate the blade angle for thevibration motor mechanically, the multi-mode vibration developed by the software approach is successfullyproposed. It is easy for the washing process to be regulated electrically instead of mechanical operating only. Itis believed that this paper will be beneficial to the automatic washing process application for the washingmachine.
