Abstract:
The “New Japanese-Style Management System” was introduced by the Japan Business Federation in1995 to reinforce the “Three Sacred Treasures” that are peculiar to the management style in Japan. This paperinvestigates the penetration and influence of the New Japanese-Style Management System on the enterprise unionand union members as well as labor-management relations by providing examples such as testimonials anddocuments. The purpose of this is to observe how the union deals with various company measures and how thesemeasures are exchanged between the union and management. This paper treats a certain electrical equipmentmanufacturer and its labor union to conduct this research.
