Abstract:
Η επιτακτική ανάγκη για την αντιμετώπιση των σύνθετων περιβαλλοντικών ζητημάτων καθιστά απαραίτητη τη συστηματική εμπλοκή των ενηλίκων στην Περιβαλλοντική Εκπαίδευση. Στο άρθρο αυτό επιχειρείται η αποσαφήνιση κομβικών εννοιών και η παρουσίαση βασικών προσεγγίσεων της Περιβαλλοντικής Εκπαίδευσης Ενηλίκων. Έμφαση δίνεται στη ριζοσπαστική-κριτική προσέγγιση, η οποία δεν έχει αναπτυχθεί ιδιαίτερα μέχρι σήμερα σε διεθνές επίπεδο. Η κοινότητα αποτελεί το πλαίσιο αναφοράς, με στόχο την ενδυνάμωση του πολίτη, έτσι ώστε να είναι σε θέση να οραματίζεται και να δρομολογεί δράσεις για την αειφορική αναδόμησή της. Σε επίπεδο πρακτικής σταχυολογούνται ορισμένες χαρακτηριστικές μέθοδοι για την ενεργό εμπλοκή των πολιτών στον σχεδίασμά και υλοποίηση δράσεων.
