Abstract:
This study investigates the social and cultural factors which influence the learning of Modem Greek as a foreign language. The results of the study were the following:a) Students are affected by the national stereotype, their familiar (friends and relatives) environment, and their own perception of Greece and the Greeks.b) Equal relations between the Greek and other cultures will, on the one hand, allow people to interact and get feedback from one another and, on the other, create new perspectives for a better learning of the Greek language and cutlure.
