The field of teaching Italian in the Faculty of Health Sciences is concentrated on the specialized terminology. The teacher has to: • make a data base of the new terminology• be aware of the context clues and know how to work with them• teach how to choose the best definition of a word when using a dictionary• help the students to use their academic library and use reference materials• give models of finding the main idea of a text through topic sentences.
