The church of St Polykarpos, in the area of ancient Tanagra, is of a single-aisle dromical type with vaulted roof and one strainer arch. On the basis of features of its form (mainly the sanctuary conch) and construction, it is dated to the thirteenth or fourteenth century and can be associated with church-building activity in the area of Sykaminos-Oropos, as well as the opposite area of Euboea.The church of St Polykarpos, in the area of ancient Tanagra, is of a single-aisle dromical type with vaulted roof and one strainer arch.
