Abstract:
The article examines the wall-paintings in the church of the Virgin in the village of Cerskё, Southern Albania. It discusses the iconographic programme of the church, the iconography and the style of the representations. The wall-paintings, which include Dodecaorton scenes and figures of saints, were executed in the late fourteenth century by an artist of rather limited abilities. The iconographic programme displays strong similarities to contemporary churches in Kastoria.
