Abstract:
This article is a summary overview of the Greek brain drainproblem. First, the necessary data are presented; then the causes of the brain drain are examined, and the advantages anddisadvantages to sending and receiving countries are considered. Finally, it is suggested that the brain drain cannotbe understood in a strictly economic context; an attempt is madeto place it inside a broader perspective.
