Abstract:
It is a fact that the Consumer’s protection has been and still is a burning point for all the developed countries. Within the European Union the enactment of a framework for the protection of the consumer, and the mapping out of a Unified Policy among the member states, has been considered to be essential. At first, that was realized by the Maastricht Treaty, the contribution and the institutional framework of which is dealt with in this project, and then by the Amsterdam Treaty, which completed the deficiencies of the former in many fields, but mainly those about the further protection of the consumers-citizens of the European Union.
