Abstract:
In this paper we describe the banks in ancient Greece and hellenistic times. The structure of this paper is as follows: After the introduction we present the sacred, private and public banks in classical age. Some information is given about the banks and bankers in Athens-Piraeus and about the loans in classical times. Finally we describe the sacred, private and public banks in the hellenistic age.
