Five sermons of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Maximos V

In the archives of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Maximos V (1946-1948) which hve been in my possession since he passed away in 1972, there are five sermons in his handwriting. He made these sermons during Church services in which he presided as Metropolitan of Chalcedon (1932-1946), for the ordination to priesthood of: Maximos Hristopoulos as deacon, at the Church of St Ephemea in Chalcedon on 03.04.1938. Chrysostomos Triantafilidis as presbyter, at the Church of St John Chrysostomos at the parish of Kalamisia of Chalcedon on 25.05.1941.Maximos Repanellis as deacon, at the Church of St Nicholas in Galata of the Archdiocese of Constantinople on 22.10.1944.Rhotius Savvaidis as deacon, in the Church of Holy Trinity at the Theological School of Halki on 06.02.1945.As Ecumenical Patriarch, he bestowed at a special service in the church of St George at the Ecumenical Patriarchate on 31.03.1946, the title of Spiritual Guide for the faithful of the Archdiocese of Constantinople, on Archimandrite Alexander Kantonis
