The writer, professor of Thessaloniki's University, inquires the story of the Othomanic Empire t h a t D. Candemir wrote during 1714-1716 and looks into the information referring to the people of Fanari, as well as to the teachers of the Πατριαρχική Ακαδημία at the end of the 17th century and at the beginning of the 18the century. It should be mentioned that D. Candemir studied in the Πατριαρχική Ακαδημία.
