The Μεγάλη του Γένους Σχολή’ building in Achilleas Samartzis’ photos

Achilleas Samartzis, one of the most distinguished photographers of Constantinople at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, used the dome of the new building of the School in Fanari as a hallmark, as he photographs the sightseeings of the Byzantine Constantinople. In his record eight relevant pictures are saved. After a brief presentation of Achilleas Samartzis work and record, four pictures of the Μεγάλη του Γένους Σχολή are published.
