A Chronicle of Triglia, town of Minor Asia, for the period 1878-1909, based on the autobiography of Alexander Moumtzis and letters from his father, Christophore Moumtzis, to him. The Chronicle describes the town of Triglia at the end of the 19th century. It refers to the studies of Alexandre Moumtzis at the local primary school and then at the Great School of the Nation in Constantinople, his activities as a Counselor of the Great School of the Nation in Constantinople , his activities as a Counselor of the Municipality of Triglia ( 1896-1906), the life of the Greek community in this town, the immigration to America in the beginning of the 20th century, the disastrous flood of May 1907, how the Greeks confronted with the regime change of 1912, the church situation in Triglia and other local affairs. A major part of the letters of Christ. Moumtzis deals with detailed information about the manifold activities of the Metropolitan of Dramas Chrysostomos Kalafatis (and the Metropolitan of Smyrna and ethnomarter), during his exiles and confinement (1907-1909,1909-1910) in his birth place, the town of Triglia.
