Abstract:
The article demonstrates a) the humorous nature of the work and b) that both the prologue (vv. l-10a) as well as the part of the work making up the epilogue (vv. 1003-1079) are later additions. Alterations are also made to the Table of the structure of the work, as drawn up by I. Tsavaris, and a transposition is identified (made by some copyist) of verses 240-259, with a suggestion for their restoration to their proper position. Finally, suggestions are made for emendations and corrections to particular verses of the work.
