Ανάδειξη των καθοριστικών παραγόντων επηρεασμού της πρόθεσης των φοιτητών για ανακύκλωση αποβλήτων συσκευασίας και έντυπου χαρτιού

Η παρούσα εργασία έχει ως στόχο τη διερεύνηση των καθοριστικών παραγόντων που επηρεάζουν την πρόθεση των φοιτητών για ανακύκλωση των αποβλήτων συσκευασίας και του έντυπου χαρτιού που προέρχονται από τα νοικοκυριά και καταλήγουν στο «μπλε» κάδο ανακύκλωσης. Σύμφωνα με τη θεωρία της προσχεδιασμένης συμπεριφοράς (Theory of Planned Behaviour-TPB) οι ανθρώπινες πράξεις προβλέπονται σε μεγάλο βαθμό από τις αντίστοιχες προθέσεις. Η πρόθεση με τη σειρά της, όταν πρόκειται για συνειδητές πράξεις, μπορεί να προβλεφθεί από τρεις παράγοντες-μεταβλητές: α) τη στάση ως προς τη συγκεκριμένη συμπεριφορά (ATTitude–ATT), β) τα υποκειμενικά πρότυπα (Subjective Norm-SN) και γ) τον αντιλαμβανόμενο έλεγχο της συμπεριφοράς (Perceived Behavioural Control-PBC). Ωστόσο, αρκετοί ερευνητές επισημαίνουν ότι το εν λόγω μοντέλο χρήζει βελτιώσεων και προτείνουν την προσαρμογή επιπρόσθετων ερμηνευτικών μεταβλητών, όταν αποδεδειγμένα συνεισφέρουν στην αυξημένη ερμηνεία της πρόθεσης. Υπό αυτό το πρίσμα, αρχικά στο μοντέλο της TPB προστίθενται 3 επιπλέον μεταβλητές: η προηγούμενη συμπεριφορά ανακύκλωσης (Past Recycling Behavior-PRB), τα ηθικά πρότυπα (Moral Norms-MN) και οι συνέπειες και τα αποτελέσματα της ανακύκλωσης (Consequences/Outcomes-CON/OUT). Στη συνέχεια διερευνάται η συμβολή τους στην ερμηνεία της πρόθεσης, δείγματος 126 φοιτητών διαφόρων επιστημονικών πεδίων, για ανακύκλωση. Τα αποτελέσματα καταδεικνύουν ότι το μοντέλο της TPB αποτελεί ένα ικανό ερμηνευτικό εργαλείο της πρόθεσης για ανακύκλωση, που θα μπορούσε να αξιοποιηθεί στο σχεδιασμό δράσεων εκπαίδευσης, ενημέρωσης και ευαισθητοποίησης καθώς και ευρύτερα στην άσκηση πολιτικής στον τομέα της ανακύκλωσης.
