The Transition from the Ancient carmina popularia to the Archaic and Classical Greek Song

Ή παρούσα εισήγηση άφορα στη διερεύνηση ζητημάτων πού σχετίζονται με τη διακρίβωση της λογοτεχνικής κατηγορίας μέ τα δημώδη άσματα της αρχαιότητας ώς λογοτεχνικής προβαθμίδας στην κατοπινή εξέλιξη τής παλαιότερης λυρικής ποίησης (δηλ. χορικής λυρικής ποίησης και μονωδικοϋ τραγουδιού), στο πλαίσιο αυτής ακριβώς τής μετάβασης στην έντεχνη ποίηση του 6ου αιώνα π.Χ. Παρ 'όλες τις δυσκολίες κατηγοριοποίησης, ή ταξινόμηση σε δημώδη άσματα αποτελεί μία χρηστική κατηγορία για την αρχαία λυρική ποίηση και για τον πρόσθετο λόγο ότι άφορα και στην εξέλιξη/μετάβαση στην έντεχνη επώνυμη λυρική ποίηση. Καθώς μερικά αποσπάσματα προδίδουν ενδιάμεσες φάσεις αυτής της μετάβασης, καταθέτουμε μία σειρά δειγματιζόντων προβληματισμών και ενδεικτικών φιλολογικών παρατηρήσεων με τήν αξιοποίηση τής πρόσφατης βιβλιογραφίας και τήν έμφαση σε συγκεκριμένα κειμενικά τεκμήρια ερωτικού περιεχομένου: τα άποσπ. 853, 873 και 881 PMG, μέ έκδοση και σχολιασμό, παράλληλα προς τά άποσπ. 102 και 104α L-P. τής Σαπφούς, το Adesp. 58 (976) PMG και στίχους από το «Τραγούδι τού Αργαλειού» του Κ. Κρυστάλλη.
