Abstract:
Seneca, aiming at the spiritual freedom and moral strengthening of his andienee, communicates with the common and sumple man. So, he is compelled to use colloquial elements and consructions, which, although they do not constitude fundamental characteristic of his style, however add in their extent realistic liveliness, clearness, intimacy and more effectiveness. The use of ordinary speech is imposed not only by the nature of his work but also by the influence of Hellinistic and Latin literature, his practical character and it is consonant with his stylistic theory and practice.
