Drawing on a study of a mountain community in the Pindus Mountains, the article deals with concepts o f space, place and landscape. It also deals with other concepts that go beyond one-dimensional approaches and lead to a broader understanding of space and place. This fact justifies the investigationof such concepts as part of a wider, interdisciplinary dialogue, which also contributes to “a broadening of the theoretical and methodological perspective employed by folklore".
